Savory Shortbread

Have you ever thought of a savory shortbread to make biscotti and pies? This kind of dough is versatile and tasty, ideal for many different uses in the kitchen.

Today Alessandro and Emanuela by Locanda Demetra show you how to prepare the dough of the savory shortbread and a possible use for your creations: salty cookies decorated with edible flowers and spices.

Ingredients

(for 4 persons)

  • 200 gr “00” flour
  • 45 gr eggs
  • 30 gr yolks only
  • 25 gr potato starch
  • 25 gr grated Parmigiano cheese
  • 45 gr honey
  • 125 gr butter
  • 4 gr salt
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • eventual spices and edible flowers to decorate the cookies
